Best outdoor kitchens for Canada, compared

Search for the best outdoor kitchen for Canada and the same names keep coming up: Urban Bonfire, Mont Alpi, NewAge, Station Grill, Outeriors and a few Toronto-area builders. Capo Cuòco is one of the nine companies on this page, so here is how we kept it fair: every fact about another company comes from that company’s own website, linked under its entry and read on 19 October 2026. Where a company doesn’t say, neither do we.

What a Canadian winter asks of an outdoor kitchen

A body that won’t rot or rust

Marine-grade aluminum, stainless steel and outdoor polymers such as PVC and HDPE can all stay outside year-round. Near pools, lakes and salted walkways, 316 stainless resists the tea-staining that 304 can show. Wood and masonry ask for more upkeep after each freeze-thaw season. The materials guide compares them in detail.

A finish made for sun and snow

Powder coat on metal, colour that runs through a polymer panel, or a stone or porcelain facing. Each holds up outdoors; they differ in look, repair and how much colour choice you get.

A countertop that ignores frost

Porcelain, ultra-compact slabs such as Dekton and Neolith, and granite are the usual outdoor choices, and most companies on this page offer one or more of them.

Someone qualified for the gas

In Ontario, installing or connecting a gas appliance takes a certificate holder under O. Reg. 212/01. Some companies here run the whole installation; others leave the hook-up to your own gas fitter.

The companies, one by one

Castle Kitchens

A kitchen and bath retailer and renovation company in Markham, with a 16,000 sq ft showroom. For outdoor kitchens it is an authorized dealer for Urban Bonfire and Station Grill, also carries Home Refinements and Blaze cabinets, and says it designs and builds custom outdoor kitchens. Its in-house team designs in 3D, installation is offered, and prices are given on request.

Garden Living

A Pickering design-build firm that designs, builds and installs its own cabinetry: runs of aluminum framing faced with phenolic panels, powder-coated 304 stainless steel or sintered stone, sized to the millimetre rather than sold as modules. Consultations are free, virtually, at its Pickering showroom by appointment, or on site, and it says projects typically begin at $25,000+.

Mont Alpi

Mont Alpi Canada, run by Wheatland Distributors in Saskatoon, sells Mont Alpi grill islands online and through dealers, including Dickson Barbeque Centre and Barbecues Galore in the GTA. The islands are 304 stainless steel or black stainless with a composite white granite top; they arrive pre-assembled, take bolt-on modules, and are installed by the owner, with an online layout tool to plan them. Listed price on 19 October 2026: $7,399 CAD for the 805 6-Burner Deluxe island.

My Outdoor Kitchen

A GTA firm that builds only outdoor kitchens: welded galvanized-steel frames from its own shop, clad on site in stone, porcelain, cedar or Ipe, plus a frame-only series for your own contractor to finish. It is also a dealer for Urban Bonfire and Station Grill. Consultations are free and held at your home while it moves to a new showroom; it lists grill prices online and quotes kitchens.

NewAge Products

Founded in Toronto, NewAge makes modular outdoor kitchens as well as garage storage, and sells them online, at its showroom at 1190 Caledonia Road and through dealers. Cabinets come in set sizes, in 304 stainless steel or powder-coated aluminum, with Dekton, engineered stone, granite or stainless tops. Design help is free by video with 3D renders, and you install the kitchen yourself or add paid installers. Listed price on 19 October 2026: $6,599.99 CAD (regular price) for a Classic 5-piece grill island with grill.

Outeriors

A design-build firm and retailer in Woodbridge (Vaughan), with 18 kitchen displays in its showroom. Its exclusive Alumina cabinets are 14-gauge 6061 marine-grade aluminum with a UV-stable powder coat, sized in 3-inch steps; it also sells Julien stainless and NatureKast cabinetry, Dekton countertops and grills. Consultations and 3D renderings are free, its own crew installs, and prices aren’t published.

Station Grill

A cabinet maker in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Quebec, sold in the GTA through design-build partners such as Castle Kitchens in Markham and Mediterra Design and Build in Vaughan. Cabinet boxes are 3/4-inch PVC, with HDPE or aluminum-composite fronts across 150+ cabinet models, plus ready-made kits. It publishes a price per linear foot: C$1,190–1,958 for its PUR collection on its Canadian French-language page (19 October 2026).

Urban Bonfire

A cabinet brand with offices and a showroom in Montreal, sold through dealers, nine of them in Toronto, Vaughan and Markham on its dealer list. The cabinets are thick-gauge marine-grade aluminum with its own powder coat and 316 stainless handles, built as factory-made modules for pre-configured or custom layouts; its design team prepares the plan, and a dealer or your own installer puts it in. Listed prices on 19 October 2026 start at $13,475 CAD for the Sierra 42; a larger layout, Linden, lists at $52,450 before equipment, countertop, shipping and installation.

Which one fits which project

Ready-made, installed yourself

Mont Alpi’s pre-assembled islands or NewAge’s set-size modules, ordered online at listed prices.

A modular system through a local dealer

Urban Bonfire or Station Grill, priced by the maker and fitted by a dealer, a partner or your own contractor.

One firm from design to installation

Outeriors, Castle Kitchens, Garden Living or My Outdoor Kitchen, several with many brands to compare in one place.

An architectural kitchen, made to order

Capo Cuòco: marine-grade aluminum and 316 stainless in three collections, planned with you at the Toronto studio.

Where Capo Cuòco fits, and where it doesn’t

Capo Cuòco makes minimalist, architectural outdoor kitchens in three collections: UNICA, STRATO, designed with Studio Segers of Belgium, and CSL. The cabinetry is marine-grade powder-coated aluminum with 316 stainless steel, made to order and built for use outdoors through −30°C winters. The Canadian studio has completed 50+ projects since 2023, the first of which has now stood through three winters, and the brand was longlisted for the Archiproducts Design Awards 2025.

It isn’t the right choice if you want an island delivered this month to install yourself, or a price list to order from; a ready-made brand suits that better. Every Capo Cuòco kitchen is quoted after a free consultation, at the Caledonia Road studio or on site in the GTA. As a very general guide, the kitchen itself typically runs from about C$25,000 for a compact composition to C$100,000 or more for large layouts, before countertops, appliances, site work, installation and HST.

Asked about outdoor kitchen brands

What is the best outdoor kitchen for Canada?

The one built from materials that can stay outside all winter (marine-grade aluminum, stainless steel or an outdoor polymer, with a porcelain, ultra-compact or granite top) and sold the way you want to buy it. The nine companies above all sell in Ontario; they differ most in that second part: ready-made online, modular through a dealer, or designed and installed by one firm.

Which outdoor kitchen brands have a showroom in Toronto?

NewAge (1190 Caledonia Road) and Capo Cuòco (680 Caledonia Road, by appointment) are in Toronto. Outeriors (Woodbridge), Castle Kitchens (Markham) and Garden Living (Pickering, by appointment) are elsewhere in the GTA. Urban Bonfire, Station Grill and Mont Alpi are shown at dealers.

Which outdoor kitchen brands publish prices?

Mont Alpi, NewAge and Urban Bonfire list prices online, and Station Grill publishes a price per linear foot. Garden Living says its projects typically begin at $25,000+. Outeriors and Castle Kitchens quote on request, and My Outdoor Kitchen lists grill prices but quotes kitchens. Capo Cuòco publishes one very general guide range and quotes every kitchen.

Is 304 stainless steel good enough outdoors in Canada?

Often, yes. Near pools, lakes and salted walkways, 304 stainless can tea-stain, a light brown surface staining; 316 stainless resists it better, which is why it is the usual choice for hardware and exposed parts near water.
