Outdoor kitchen appliances
An outdoor kitchen cooks as well as the appliances built into it. Capo Cuòco compositions are engineered around the package you choose — built-in gas grills, smokers, pizza ovens, outdoor refrigeration, beer taps and ice-makers — each with its enclosure, ventilation and services designed into the cabinetry, not cut in afterwards. Specified at consultation, installed turn-key across Toronto and the GTA.
Built-in gas grills
The heart of the kitchen — sized at consultation, with enclosure, heat shielding and ventilation engineered into the cabinetry around it.
Smokers
Low-and-slow, built in rather than parked beside the kitchen — with the service clearances a smoker actually needs.
Pizza ovens
Built into the composition, not balanced on a cart — the oven becomes part of the architecture, as in the open-frame CSL.
Outdoor refrigeration
Outdoor-rated refrigeration keeps the kitchen self-sufficient — no sprints to the indoor fridge mid-course.
Beer taps & ice-makers
The hosting details: kegs, taps and ice where the party actually happens, plumbed and powered properly.
Sinks & prep
316 stainless steel sinks and worktops put real prep outside — with water runs coordinated in the installation.
Built in, not dropped in
A dropped-in appliance is a hole with a grill in it. A built-in appliance is engineered: enclosure and heat zones sized to the manufacturer's clearances, ventilation designed into the module, service access planned so maintenance never means dismantling the kitchen. That engineering is the difference between cabinetry that carries appliances for decades and cabinetry that cooks itself — and it is priced transparently in the quotation.
Gas — TSSA
In Ontario, gas connections are made by TSSA-registered contractors — coordinated as part of turn-key installation.
Electrical — ESA
Refrigeration, lighting and ignition circuits fall under the ESA — planned into the composition, never an afterthought.
Water
Sinks and ice-makers need supply and drainage that survive winter — routed and insulated with the site in mind.
Appliances that winter outdoors
An outdoor kitchen in Canada is only as four-season as its weakest component. The cabinetry that carries your appliances is marine-grade powder-coated aluminum and 316 stainless steel, engineered to live outside uncovered — the four-season guide covers what that means through −30° cold snaps and freeze-thaw springs. Outdoor-rated appliances are specified to match at consultation.
Built-in BBQs, pizza ovens, refrigeration & sinks
Four appliances do most of the work in a Canadian outdoor kitchen. Here is how each is specified — and what its enclosure asks of the cabinetry around it. Cooking under a pergola or pavilion changes the ventilation math too: covered outdoor kitchens covers what a roof means for clearances.
The built-in BBQ
The difference between a barbecue and a built-in BBQ is the enclosure: heat shielding, ventilation and service access engineered into the module around it. Specifying a built-in BBQ in Canada also means CSA certification and a manufacturer that honours its warranty here — both confirmed at consultation.
The outdoor refrigerator
An outdoor refrigerator in Canada works a short, hot season and survives a long, cold one — from the under-counter outdoor bar fridge to full refrigeration columns, outdoor-rated compressors, weather-sealed electricals and an outdoor CSA/UL listing are non-negotiable. Winterization is part of the handover, not a surprise in November.
The outdoor kitchen sink
An outdoor kitchen sink turns the composition into a real workstation — prep, service and cleanup without a trip inside. Ours are 316 stainless steel, with supply and drainage routed to survive freeze-thaw, placed in the workflow between grill and worktop.
The pizza oven
An outdoor kitchen with a pizza oven cooks for a crowd like nothing else. Built into the composition — as in the open-frame CSL — the oven gets its clearances, its landing zone and its place in the architecture, not a cart in the corner.
Asked before every project
Which grill brands can be built into a Capo Cuòco kitchen?
The composition is engineered around the appliances you choose — grill, smoker, oven and refrigeration selections are made at consultation, and the cabinetry is manufactured to their exact enclosure and ventilation requirements.
Does the appliance package change the price?
Significantly — it is one of the six decisions that set the investment. Each appliance carries its own cost plus its enclosure, ventilation and service requirements. The cost guide explains how the quotation prices it.
Can outdoor kitchen appliances stay outside all winter?
The kitchen itself is engineered to — marine-grade aluminum and 316 stainless steel live outside 365 days a year. Appliances are specified outdoor-rated for exactly that duty; see four-season outdoor kitchens.
Can you use a regular grill in an outdoor kitchen?
Cart grills are engineered to stand alone — enclosing one traps heat where the manufacturer never intended it. Built-in grill heads are designed for cabinetry, with published enclosure clearances and ventilation requirements, and that is what every composition is engineered around at consultation.
