The cost of an outdoor kitchen

Every Capo Cuòco outdoor kitchen is made to order, so there is no price list: the investment is set by the composition you draw with us. In the Toronto market, fully installed custom outdoor kitchens generally run from the low tens of thousands of dollars to well beyond six figures for estate-scale projects. Where a Capo Cuòco lands in that spectrum comes down to six decisions — and the quotation that prices them is complimentary.

Rooftop terraces ask more of delivery and installation — two of the six decisions that set the number.

Size & configuration

A single 210 cm outdoor kitchen island and a full U-shaped composition with bar seating are different projects. UNICA runs 210–300 cm in standard widths, plus fully custom linear, L- and U-shaped layouts.

The appliance package

Built-in gas grills, smokers, pizza ovens, refrigeration, beer taps and ice-makers each carry their own cost — and their own enclosure, ventilation and service requirements, engineered into the cabinetry.

Countertop material

316 stainless steel, porcelain and ultra-compact slabs from Italy and Spain, granite, or hand-cast concrete — each with a different price per running metre.

Finishes & details

Cabinet finish, handle detailing, lighting and accessory drawers refine the composition — and the number.

Site & services

Gas, electrical and water runs shape the installed cost. In Ontario, gas connections are made by TSSA-registered contractors and electrical work falls under the ESA — coordinated as part of turn-key installation.

Delivery & installation

Rooftop terraces, courtyards and lakefront sites each ask something different of the crew. Installation is white-glove and included in your quotation — never a surprise line item.

The Number

How much does an outdoor kitchen cost in Ontario?

In Ontario, a fully installed custom outdoor kitchen generally runs from the low tens of thousands of dollars for a compact island to well beyond six figures for estate-scale outdoor rooms. Size, the appliance package, countertop material, finishes, site services and installation set the final number — and a detailed, fixed quotation is complimentary.

What You Receive

Priced as one complete project

A Capo Cuòco quotation covers the whole arc: design consultation and site measure, the composition drawn to your space, made-to-order manufacture as a fully modular kitchen in marine-grade powder-coated aluminum and 316 stainless steel, appliance integration, delivery and turn-key installation by one Canadian team. Because the kitchen is engineered for Canadian winters, there is no seasonal teardown to budget for — it is built once, to stay outside.

Common Questions

Cost, answered plainly

Why quote-only pricing?

Because no two compositions are alike. A price list would either overcharge simple projects or undercharge complex ones. The quotation is free, detailed and fixed — you know the complete number before anything is built.

Is an outdoor kitchen worth it in Canada?

A four-season kitchen is used the way an indoor renovation is — year-round, not eight weeks a summer. Marine-grade construction means the investment doesn't degrade with the seasons the way site-built or entry-level cabinetry can.

What makes the price higher or lower than competitors?

Multi-brand dealers assemble kitchens from catalogue cabinets; masonry contractors build on site. Capo Cuòco manufactures the entire kitchen to order as a single architectural composition — see how the approaches compare.

How do I get a number for my space?

Book a consultation — bring photos, a plan or just dimensions. You'll leave with a composition direction; the detailed quotation follows the site measure. More questions? See the full FAQ.

How much does outdoor kitchen installation cost in Toronto?

Installation is not a separate line item: every quotation is turn-key, covering delivery, white-glove installation and coordination of licensed gas (TSSA) and electrical (ESA) connections. Site services — gas, electrical and water runs — are what move the installed cost, and they are priced transparently in the quotation.

How long does an outdoor kitchen installation take?

Because every kitchen arrives as finished made-to-order modules, installation on site is measured in days — not the weeks a masonry kitchen is built over. Manufacture time is confirmed with your quotation.

Why are outdoor kitchens so expensive?

Because a real one is a small building project, not an appliance purchase: cabinetry manufactured for outdoor structural duty, engineered appliance enclosures, countertops that shrug off frost, licensed gas and electrical connections, and turn-key installation. The six decisions above are where the money actually goes — and cheaper versions usually save it in the places Canadian winters find first.

How much does it cost to renovate or replace an existing outdoor kitchen?

Usually close to the cost of a comparable new installation, minus the site services you already have — existing gas, electrical and water runs can often be reused once inspected, and removal of the old kitchen is a modest line in the quotation. Because Capo Cuòco kitchens are fully modular, a future renovation is a reconfiguration: modules are added or rearranged rather than demolished.
