Privacy policy

Effective date: October 20, 2026. Capo Cuòco Canada is operated by Igne Ferro Inc. ("Igne Ferro", "we"), the Canadian distributor of Capocuòco outdoor kitchens, at 680 Caledonia Rd, Toronto, ON M6E 4V9. This policy explains what personal information we collect on capo-cuoco.ca, in our trade portal and when you contact us, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where they apply, provincial privacy laws, including Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.

Who is responsible

Igne Ferro Inc. is responsible for the personal information it holds. Our Privacy Officer handles questions, requests and complaints: Privacy Officer, Igne Ferro Inc., 680 Caledonia Rd, Toronto, ON M6E 4V9 · (416) 239-3556 · or through our contact page.

What we collect

  • When you contact us — your name, city and email address, your phone number if you give it, and what you tell us about your project. The same applies when you email, call or visit the studio.
  • How you found us — the contact form also sends the page you sent it from, the first page you visited on this site, the website that referred you and any campaign tags in the link you followed (such as a Google Ads click ID). Your browser keeps these only until you close the tab; once you send the form, they stay with your enquiry.
  • Trade portal — if you request or are given access: your name, company, profession and email address; your phone number, city, website and notes if you give them; your password, which our sign-in provider stores only in scrambled (hashed) form; the files you upload; and a log of account activity, such as sign-ins (including failed attempts), uploads and downloads.
  • Usage information — pages viewed and how you arrived, through Google Analytics (see Cookies below); standard server logs kept by our host (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and to fix errors; a coded (hashed) form of your IP address, stored with access requests and portal activity and used to limit repeated sign-ins and automated submissions; and, for the same reason, the date your email's domain was registered, which we look up in public domain records. Supabase, our sign-in provider, also receives your IP address when you sign in or open portal files.
  • Videos — collection pages load a Vimeo video only when you press play, using Vimeo's "Do Not Track" setting. Vimeo then receives limited technical information under its own privacy policy.

How we use it

  • To answer your enquiry, arrange consultations and site measures, prepare quotations, and design, order, deliver and install your kitchen.
  • To run the trade portal: review access requests, provide documents and price lists, share project files and keep accounts secure.
  • To see which pages and channels bring enquiries, measure our ads and improve the site.
  • To keep the records the law requires and to protect the site against fraud and spam.

We use your information only for these purposes, unless you agree to another use or the law requires or permits it. By sending the contact form, which links to this policy, or by requesting or setting up portal access, you consent to these uses. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see Your rights); we will tell you if that limits what we can do, for example, we cannot prepare a quote without a way to reach you. We send marketing emails only to people who have agreed to receive them, and each one includes a way to unsubscribe, as Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) requires.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only:

  • With Capocuòco Ltd., the manufacturer, as needed to specify, produce and ship your kitchen.
  • With service providers that work for us and may use it only to provide their service: Vercel (website hosting), Resend (sending form and portal emails), Supabase (trade portal accounts and files, and messages our spam filter holds back), Microsoft (our email) and Google Analytics (site statistics).
  • With authorities when the law requires it, or with a buyer of our business, who would have to protect it as this policy does.

Your browser also connects directly to Adobe (the site's fonts), Google Ads (only when you arrive from one of our ads) and Vimeo (videos you choose to play). They receive technical information such as your IP address and handle it under their own privacy policies.

Information outside Canada

Vercel, Resend, Supabase, Google, Adobe and Vimeo store or process information in the United States, Microsoft may process our email there, and Capocuòco Ltd. is also outside Canada. We share only what each needs, and we choose providers that commit to protecting it. While it is outside Canada, your information is subject to the laws of those countries and may be accessed by their courts, law enforcement and national security authorities.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries and projects — as long as we need them to serve you and as the law requires (for example, accounting records for six years), then we delete or anonymize them.
  • Messages our spam filter holds back — kept for 30 days so we can check that none is a real enquiry, then deleted.
  • Trade portal — your account and files until we close the account; then we delete both. Access requests are deleted from the portal a year after they are handled (requests filtered as spam after 30 days), and activity log entries after two years. The email that tells our studio about a request stays with our correspondence.
  • Google Analytics — detailed event data is deleted after 2 months, and data linked to your browser after 14 months.

How we protect it

Only the people who need your information to serve you can see it. The site and portal use encrypted connections. Portal files are kept in private storage and opened only through short-lived links, and portal passwords must be strong and are checked against known data breaches without sending the password, or its full fingerprint, to the checking service. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will tell you and report it to the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and any other regulator the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and how we have used and shared it, correct it, withdraw your consent, or ask us to delete what we are not required to keep. If you live in Quebec, you can also ask for a copy in a commonly used format and, in some cases, ask us to stop disseminating it. Contact our Privacy Officer through our contact page or at (416) 239-3556; we reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information.

Cookies and similar technologies

  • Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_PNTT5QD0LW; up to 2 years) — counts visits, pages viewed, approximate region, device type and how visitors arrive, and counts taps on our phone, email and map links and sent enquiries, never with your name, phone number or email address. Google signals and ad personalization are turned off, and we do not let Google use this data for its own products.
  • Google Ads (_gcl_au and _gcl_aw cookies, 90 days, and a _gcl_ls browser-storage entry) — set only when you arrive by clicking one of our Google ads, to tell us whether the ad led to an enquiry. We do not use remarketing.
  • How you found us (cc_first_touch, kept in your browser until you close the tab) — remembers your landing page and campaign tags for the contact form.
  • Trade portal sign-in (__Host-ccp_at, 1 hour; __Host-ccp_rt, 30 days) — keeps you signed in. Set only when you sign in, and needed for the portal to work.

You can refuse the Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies by blocking them for this site in your browser settings; the site works the same either way. Google's opt-out add-on also turns off Google Analytics on every site.

Children

This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We will post any change here with a new effective date. If we want to use information you have already given us for a new purpose, we will ask you first.
